Cecilia Cappelli graduated in 2024 with a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, after completing her Bachelor’s studies in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Florence. Her studies equipped her with a strong technical background and a growing interest in applying engineering tools to clinical needs.
During an internship period at Humanitas, she deepened her knowledge of regulatory aspects related to the production of 3D-printed medical devices, while also strengthening her skills in medical image segmentation and additive manufacturing technologies.
Since June 2025, Cecilia has been working as an Engineering Specialist in the 3D Innovation Lab at Humanitas University, under the supervision of Eng. Paolo Oliva. In this role, she develops patient-specific anatomical models, surgical guides, and training phantoms to support clinical training, surgical planning, and medical education.
She is committed to learning and contributing to the development of safe and useful tools for clinical and educational applications.
