Luca Cavallo

Luca received his Master’s Degree in 2020 from University of Turin with a thesis focused on a particular cellular population in breast cancer. In 2021 he moved in the United States as a vising researcher in Prof. Manzini Lab at Rutgers university (NJ), where he started his experience in the field of neuroscience mainly working on ASD and ID risk genes.
After a one-year experience at San Raffaele Institute in Milan, in 2025 Luca joined Prof. Matteoli Lab at Humanitas Research Hospital. Currently, the main focus of his studies is how microglia interact and communicate with neurons in the context of neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative disorders.
