Giada Melistaccio graduated in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Pavia in 2018. Then she spent few months at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine at Oxford University studying the genetic causes of craniosynostosis using NGS data. She obtained her PhD in Molecular and Experimental Medicine at Humanitas University in 2023 with a project focused on the genetic determinants of Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Currently, she is a postdoc fellow in the laboratory of Medical Genetics and RNA Biology still working on the molecular basis of neurodegenerative disorders.
