Alessia Carcassola received her Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2024 at Politecnico di Milano, discussing a thesis on the effect of cationic polymers on the intracellular delivery of therapeutic proteins.

In 2025 she moved to Humanitas University, where she joined the Tumor Microenvironment Lab led by Diletta Di Mitri as a PhD student of the Molecular, Experimental and Computational Medicine (MECM) program.
