Dr. Armando Santoro graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1974 from the University of Messina. In 1976, he obtained the Certificat de Cancerologie Clinique et Expérimentale from the University of Paris; in 1977, he specialized in Clinical and Laboratory Hematology at the University of Rome, and in 1980, he completed a specialization in Oncology at the University of Genoa. In 1997/1998, he served as a contract professor at the School of Specialization in Hematology at the University of Milan, and since 2004, he has held the same role at the School of Specialization in Oncology at the same university.
His main areas of interest are oncology and hematology, with research activities focused on solid tumors, hematological malignancies, cancer survivors, development of new drugs, biological therapies, and the management of patients with comorbidities.
