Dario Bruno, MD, PhD, is a Rheumatologist at Humanitas Research Hospital, actively involved in both clinical practice and translational research in inflammatory joint diseases. He has a specific expertise in ultrasound-guided synovial biopsy, which represents a cornerstone of his clinical and research activity. Through direct analysis of synovial tissue, his work is strongly focused on advancing personalized medicine in inflammatory arthritis, aiming to identify cellular and molecular signatures that drive disease heterogeneity and treatment response.

He completed his specialization in Rheumatology at IRCCS Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli – Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Rome. He subsequently pursued an International PhD in Biomolecular Medicine (2022–2025) at Università di Verona. During his PhD, he undertook an extended research period at the University of Glasgow, within the School of Infection and Immunity, where he currently holds the position of Honorary Clinical Fellow. This experience allowed him to develop advanced expertise in translational immunology and cutting-edge technologies, including flow cytometry, fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS), single-cell RNA sequencing, and spatial transcriptomics. 

Dario Bruno is author and co-author of several publications in international peer-reviewed journals and is actively involved in research projects exploring novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets in inflammatory arthritis, with the goal of dissecting disease mechanisms and therapeutic response through the integration of clinical data and high-dimensional profiling of synovial tissue.
