Ilaria Ricotti graduated in Industrial Nanobiotechnologies for Pharmaceuticals from the University of Pavia in 2025. During her MSc thesis, carried out in a biotechnology company in Switzerland, she worked on the development of bispecific antibodies for the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia, gaining experience in translational and pharmaceutical research.

In December 2025, she joined Professor Maria Rescigno’s laboratory of Mucosal Immunology and Microbiota at Humanitas University as a PhD student.

Her research focuses on the role of PPi as a concomitant therapy in patients undergoing immunotherapy with immune checkpoint inhibitors, investigating its potential effects on the microbiota and its impact on treatment outcomes.
