Jammy Mariotton earned his Master’s degree in Biological Health from the University Clermont Auvergne, France, in 2020, during which he investigated the impact of a Western diet on secondary lymphoid structures and the immune response to adherent-invasive Escherichia coli within a context of Crohn’s disease susceptibility.
He then completed his PhD in Infectious Diseases at University Paris Cité, France, in 2024. His doctoral research, carried out at Institut Cochin, focused on elucidating the neuro-immune interactions involved in mucosal pathophysiology during viral HSV-2/HIV-1 co-infection.
In October 2024, he joined the Laboratory of Prof. Maria Rescigno at IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital as a postdoctoral fellow. His current research, supported by 5×1000 and EMBO, centers on the complex interplay between microbiota, mucosal immunity, metabolic regulation, and nociceptive pathways in chronic pain disorders, with a particular emphasis on fibromyalgia and psoriatic arthritis.
