She began her academic journey in the field of Biotechnology, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2020, graduating cum laude. Driven by a strong interest in cancer research, she went on to complete a Master’s degree in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Trento in 2024, graduating cum laude.

During her Master’s studies, she carried out her thesis research at the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research in Milan. Her thesis, entitled “Ovarian Cancer and Mitochondrial Metabolism: Exploring PGC-1β Role in Cancer Cell Malignant Phenotype and Host Interactions,” focused on the role of mitochondrial metabolism in ovarian cancer progression and the molecular mechanisms underlying tumor-host interactions.

Alongside her background in preclinical research, she developed a strong interest in clinical research and its impact on patients. She is particularly interested in working closely with patients, physicians, and healthcare professionals, as well as in the day-to-day management of clinical trials and activities that support patient care.

She currently works as a Data Manager under the supervision of Professor Ana Lleo De Nalda, supporting clinical trial operations in the field of liver diseases. Her work focuses primarily on autoimmune liver diseases, such as Primary Biliary Cholangitis (PBC) and Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), as well as viral hepatitis, such as Hepatitis D Virus (HDV), and Metabolic Dysfunction-Associated Steatotic Liver Disease (MASLD), with particular attention to fibrosis and cirrhosis.
