Postdoc fellow

Simone graduated in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine from the University of Milan in 2022 and subsequently completed his PhD in Experimental Medicine at the same university under the supervision of Professor Silvia Della Bella. He is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Professor Domenico Mavilio’s laboratory within the Unit of Clinical and Experimental Immunology at Humanitas Research Hospital. His research focuses on the immune dysregulation associated with thymic epithelial tumors, which represent a unique model at the intersection of cancer immunology and autoimmunity. By integrating advanced single-cell technologies, including multiparametric spectral flow cytometry and single-cell RNA sequencing, he investigates the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying tumor-associated immune alterations and systemic autoimmunity.
