Valentina joined the Unit of Clinical and Experimental Immunology in 2019 as an undergraduate student. She graduated in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Milan in 2020, and she then completed her Ph.D. program in Experimental Medicine at the University of Milan in 2024. Valentina is currently a postdoctoral fellow and carries out research activities in the context of tumor immunology; in particular, her research activity is focused on the numerical, phenotypical, functional, and transcriptional characterization of innate immune cells (γδ T cells and NK cells) in solid tumors, including liver, gastric, and gynecological cancers.
Her research activity is supported by funding agencies, including AIRC (Associazione Italiana Ricerca sul Cancro) and the Italian Ministry of Health.
