Vittoria obtained her Msc in Biomolecular, Genomic and Cellular Science in 2024 at the University of Parma, where she studied MELAS syndrome using 2D and 3D cardiac models. Since November 2024, Vittoria has been part of Elisa Di Pasquale’s group at Humanitas Research Hospital, where she uses iPSC-derived cardiac cells to model laminopathy-associated cardiomyopathies. Her research is focuses on lamin A/C-interacting protein MLIP as a potential disaese modifier, using patient-derived iPSCs together with single-cell and 3D functional approaches to uncover new therapeutic opportunities.
