Marialuisa Barbagallo graduated in Biological Sciences in 2005 and obtained her PhD in Cell and Developmental Biology in 2010 at Sapienza University of Rome. She joined Allavena Group at IRCCS Humanitas Research Hospital in 2018 and her research is focused on the role of immune infiltrate in tumor microenvironment of solid tumors (e.g. pancreatic cancer and colo-rectal liver metastases). In particular the current research is aimed to discover new immunological markers as diagnostic or prognostic tools in cancer.
