Postdoc fellow

After graduating in Pharmacy in 2018, Silvia Appleton earned a PhD in 2022 within the PhD Programme in Chemical and Material Sciences at the University of Turin working on polymeric nanocarriers for the oral delivery of proteins of pharmaceutical interest.

She is currently working as a postdoc researcher for the Institute of Genetic and Biomedical Research of the CNR at the Humanitas Research Hospital, focusing on drug delivery, in particular on biomimetic nanoparticles as peptide carriers to enable them to reach the desired site through active targeting. The main activities include synthesis of the nanoparticles, physicochemical characterizations, in-vitro and in-vivo experiments.
