Abhishek Vaidyanathan

PhD student

Abhishek has a background in theoretical physics, earning a BS-MS degree from IISER Pune with a major in physics.
He then moved onto research in biophysics, working in NCBS, Bangalore for a year where he studied self organisation in the Golgi complex.

Now, he is pursuing a PhD in the Microbial Ecology Lab in Humanitas where he studies interaction between bacteria. He works on mathematical modelling of communities of bacteria that perform amino acid crossfeeding, as well as image analysis for timelapse microfluidics experiments.
